As part of the English Schools Foundation (ESF), our students are supported by the largest English-medium international school organisation in Hong Kong, providing them the resources and opportunities not found outside of ESF Schools.
At ESF schools, we provide a world-class education that is renowned for its academic excellence and rigorous curriculum. Our dedicated teachers and staff ensure that every student receives the best possible learning experience.
Our schools offer comprehensive support systems, including personalised guidance, pastoral care, and counselling services, to help students thrive academically, emotionally, and socially.
We believe in fostering a strong partnership between schools and families. We actively encourage parental involvement and maintain open lines of communication to ensure that parents are fully engaged in their child's educational journey.
Alongside academic excellence, our well-rounded education cultivates talents, interests, and character through diverse co-curricular activities in sports, arts, music, and community service.
Our schools embrace diversity and create a multicultural environment where students from different backgrounds come together to learn and grow. We celebrate cultural differences, promote inclusivity, and prepare students to thrive in a globalised world.
As an IB World School, we're proud to offer the Primary Years Programme (PYP) - a transformative curriculum that nurtures the whole child. Through transdisciplinary learning, our students develop the knowledge, skills, and mindset to become globally-minded, principled contributors committed to shaping a better world.
At QBS, we cultivate an equitable, inclusive environment where every individual is valued and empowered to reach their full potential. As a leading international school, we are steadfastly committed to continuously improving our diversity, equity, and inclusion practices to shape compassionate global citizens.
Well-being is intrinsically linked to all aspects of a student’s experience at school and beyond. It encompasses physical, emotional, cognitive, spiritual and social health and development, and contributes to an understanding of self, to developing and maintaining relationships with others, and to participation in an active, healthy lifestyle.
At QBS, sustainability is at the core of everything we do. We are committed to fostering a place where working and learning go hand-in-hand with environmental stewardship. Through the seamless integration of sustainable practices across our campus, we strive to lead by example and cultivate environmental awareness within our wider community.
The QBS student leadership program empowers Year 6 students to develop leadership, responsibility, and teamwork skills, enabling them to make a positive impact within the school community while embodying our core values and IB learner profile.

I think Quarry Bay School is a great place to be because the teachers are very kind and help us a lot. Lessons are fun and we get to work together with our friends.

I absolutely loved being a part of Quarry Bay School. The vast array of learning opportunities available here was truly remarkable, and I always felt supported when I needed extra help. My fondest memory is the joy of talking and playing with my friends during recess in the vibrant school playground.

As a parent of 3 children in Quarry Bay School, I believe QBS offers the best of both worlds, an international yet local community. With a down-to-earth feel, QBS is a school where academics go hand in hand with happiness, lots of love and enthusiasm and a passion for learning in a variety of ways. QBS is a school that brings out the best in my children no matter their differences and personalities.

I've had the privilege of being part of the Quarry Bay School (QBS) community twice - first as a student and now as a parent for over 7 years. The excellent leadership team, the teachers and staff are friendly, enthusiastic, and caring towards every student. Both of my children have been very happy at QBS, learning in a positive environment and developing meaningful friendships. I highly recommend QBS to other parents.

As a former Quarry Bay School student from 2012-2015, I was thrilled to work at the school for a year. I'm deeply passionate about QBS's core values and the caring, supportive community that empowers the student body. QBS is a highly creative school that encourages self-expression across all subjects. I love being a part of this positive environment surrounded by a friendly, social community. QBS provides students with diverse opportunities that enhance their overall school experience. During my time as a student, I was heavily involved in sports, representing the school in various internal and external events. I believe student participation in school activities is crucial for building confidence, developing social skills, and forming strong relationships.

Quarry Bay School manages to combine high expectations and academic rigour with some of the softer skills that will be so necessary for our children's future. Children here are happy, curious and kind. Most important of all, they love learning and enjoy coming to school. Parents, children and teachers all play a part in the supportive school community which creates a great sense of belonging.

What's New at QBS?
Welcome to the 2025/26 school year QBS! We wish all our community new opportunities, new challenges, and endless possibilities to learn, grow, and shine! Let’s make it the best one yet!
Here we are... 40 weeks of amazing learning, unforgettable experiences, inspiring performances, and thrilling adventures have flown by. We're so proud of everything QBS achieved this year!
Now it's time to relax, recharge, and enjoy a well-deserved summer break.
This month, we had the pleasure of enjoying two incredible summer concerts featuring wonderful performances by our talented students! It was a fantastic opportunity to come together, celebrate their hard work, and mark the conclusion of various ECAs.
Last week, QBS celebrated the Year 6 students' learning as they presented their Exhibition to the community. We were so proud to see them articulate their ideas with confidence, demonstrating true agency and inspiring us with their thoughtful, sustained action.
Last week, the Year 4 students were lucky to have Jean Lau, parent of a former QBS student, visit them and share her wonderful new book, @thesuperquirks ! Inspired by her own son, Jean's story features characters with unique differences, each one celebrated for who they are. She shared a powerful message with our students: we are all unique, and that's something to be proud of! What a fantastic reminder to celebrate what makes each of us special.
And this week, Year 4s were so excited to welcome United Child, a student-led organisation! They did an amazing job raising awareness about child rights and helped our students understand the importance of advocacy. It was extra special to welcome back Corliss, a former Quarry Bay School student, who is now one of the incredible secondary schoolers who founded this inspiring organisation and are taking action for change. What a fantastic example of student leadership!

This week, QBS Year 6 students have been hard at work taking action for their Exhibition groups. From fundraisers to free demonstrations, talks, and workshops, they've truly gone above and beyond to showcase their creativity, teamwork, and dedication.
Today, QBS proudly hosted an ESF Choir Jam, bringing together the Senior Choirs from 5 ESF primary schools for an unforgettable day of music and collaboration!
Well done to these talented singers who beautifully performed three songs to close out the event. Their hard work, passion, and incredible voices filled our hall with joy and inspiration.
A big thank you to all the schools: @esfbradburyschool @esfglenealy @esfkennedyschool @peakschoolhk.
Today, QBS celebrated Earth Day with a range of exciting activities! From art and poetry inspired by nature to recycling talks, storytime, and information sessions, it was a day filled with learning and action!
Our amazing Green Team Ambassadors shared our key goals: 1. Establish a sustainable school-wide recycling system. 2. Increase appreciation for nature and biodiversity. 3. Spread awareness of the UN Global Sustainability Goals.
All classes embraced the challenge by setting up recycling boxes and participating in a 1-hour no-electricity session to reflect on energy use.
