Quarry Bay School manages to combine high expectations and academic rigour with some of the softer skills that will be so necessary for our children's future. Over the past two Tuesdays, our Year 1 and Year 2 cohorts took to the field to showcase their fantastic athletic talents to our school community!
From running and jumping to throwing, our students put all the skills and hard work from their PE lessons on full display.
We are immensely proud of the enthusiasm, determination, and sportsmanship shown by all our young athletes. Well done, Year 1 and Year 2!
From September 28–30, our school came together to celebrate a shared love of reading, creativity, and storytelling.
From inspiring author visits to our Year 6 "Shelf Elves" reading at QBSK, our school was buzzing with creativity. Best of all, our book sale raised HK$9,500 for @roomtoread_nepal, wrapping up with a vibrant Character Dress-Up parade!
A huge thank you to all our families for your generous support and donations!
To celebrate our school’s centenary, our community joined forces with renowned Hong Kong artist Eleanor McColl (@chameleon_workshophk) to create a breathtaking artwork that honors a century of memories.
Every year group played a vital role in bringing our story across time to life: - Years 2 & 3: Explored and captured intricate patterns from around our campus. - Year 4: Recreated QBS logos spanning our history, from past to present. - Year 5: Dived into our yearbook archives, using wooden silhouettes to weave historic images into a vibrant collage. - Year 6: Designed custom street signs and typography representing who we are today.
This stunning piece celebrates our rich history, our vibrant present, and the collective spirit of our students. We can't wait for you to see this lasting legacy piece on campus!
